Laura Stamm
Laura Stamm completed her PhD in Film and Media Studies at the University of Pittsburgh. She has taught for programs in Film and Media Studies and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at University of Pittsburgh and University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire. Her current research interests include media representations of HIV/AIDS, transgender media, queer television, and queer film festivals. Her work appears in Alphaville and Spectator, and is forthcoming with TSQ: Transgender Studies Quarterly. Her book project, The Queer Biopic: Examining a History of Activism, Art, and Sexuality, is under contract with Oxford University Press.
