Waltraud Maierhofer
Waltraud Maierhofer is a Professor of German and Global Health Studies at the University of Iowa. Her research and teaching examine representations of unplanned pregnancy, reproductive rights, and disability rights in German and global cultures. She has been a recipient of several Alexander von Humboldt awards. Between 2015 and 2018, she worked as an editor for Feminist German Studies (formerly Women in German Yearbook). With Beth Widmaier Capo, she co-edited Reproductive Right Issues in Popular Media: International Perspectives (McFarland Publishing, 2017).
