Beatriz Saldanha
Beatriz Saldanha is a doctoral student, film critic, curator, and director. She researches Brazilian female horror directors and wrote a chapter on the subject for the book Women Behind the Cameras: Female Brazilian Directors from 1930 to 2018 (2019). She gives lectures and courses on horror films made by women and, in 2021, she curated the festival Mostra Les Diaboliques: Diretoras de horror 1980-1999 / Les Diaboliques: Female Horror Directors 1980-1999, screening films by Roberta Findlay, Jackie Kong, and other women.
