Photographer Ellen Rogers talks to Sabina Stent about her cultural influences and artistic practice in relation to literature, landscape and feminism.
Sabina Stent
Sabina Stent is a freelance entertainment writer and independent scholar who completed her PhD thesis ‘Women Surrealists: Sexuality, Fetish, Femininity and Female Surrealism’ at the University of Birmingham in 2012. She has written for, among others, AnOther Magazine, Women Write About Comics, The F Word, and Dazed Digital, and has recently authored the forthcoming chapter ‘Women Surrealists and Egyptian Mythology: Sphinxes, Animals, and Magic’ for the forthcoming publication Ancient Egypt in the Modern Imagination: Art, Literature and Culture (IB Tauris, 2019).
