Paz Bustamante

Paz Bustamante is Professor of Philosophy in Middle-Higher Education (UBA). She completed a Master in Alternative Cinema at EICTV, Cuba. She is now working on her PhD thesis on Narcisa Hirsch. Paz directed a number of documentary films, including Ofrendas y Hallazgos (2017), Derecho Verde (2018) co-directed by with Valentina Kelly, Vanina Bustos and Unx (2019), which was exhibited in various festivals and exhibitions. She also co-directed Apuntes Feministas (2018) with Giulia Strippoli. Paz also worked on feature films , Las Pistas: Lanoyij: Nimitaxanaxac (2010), Sipo’hi: El lugar del manduré (2011) and Imagen Mala (2017) directed by Sebastián Lingiardi. Currently, she is particpating in a research project ‘Disyunciones entre imagen visual e imagen sonora en el cine documental-ensayo’. Since 2018 Paz has been a member of the Audiovisual Women Collective (Mujeres Audiovisuales, MUA). She offers workshops on gender representations and the screen portrayals of the body.
