Melanie Robson

Melanie Robson holds a PhD in film studies from UNSW Sydney. She teaches film at UNSW and AFTRS. She is a co-founder and President of the Sydney Screen Studies Network. Her research interests lie broadly in the form and aesthetics of modernist film and television, particularly from America and Europe. She has published in Studies in European Cinema and Mise-en-Scene. Her current project investigates the long take as a transnational modernist tradition across contemporary film and television.
